On the North The Himalaya, on the South The Bay of Bengal and in between a huge green parkland crisscrossed by rivers, interspread with forests, dotted with sparkling towns and markets. The crown – jewel made by man for this landscape is Kolkata, the metropolitan capital of India’s eastern state, West Bengal.

West Bengal is the only state in India, that has both the mountain and sea. A mere six or seven hours’ journey would  take you from the beach at Digha to a grand panoramic view of the Himalaya from Darjeeling. It will be difficult for you to find elsewhere views like that from Tiger Hill of the Sun-God’s triumphal march through the seven colours into the heaven, or like that in Kolkata of the grand human fiesta of the Durga Puja.

Kolkata is also the gateway to Eastern India, to the peerless sculpture of Konark or the historic center of Rajgir.

Welcome to West Bengal, from TAAB, the brief nomenclature of the Travel Agents Association of Bengal.

TAAB is the twelve year old body of Travel Agents to which the vast majority of the Travel Agents of West Bengal belong.

These Travel Agents make hotel reservations, organize package tours & render other travel services not only in West Bengal & Eastern India but all over India and even abroad. And it is they who handle a major part of the traffic to different parts of India.
